The sacred mana of truth and light

Foundation & Your Bowl of Light

The material in this sections along with the Online Course, support a deeper understanding of the teachings presented. Recommend reading all sections on this Website before going to the Online Course. Some information covered here, is NOT covered in the course. Remember, the Online course is (literally) an initial personal session with me.

We believe there is a bowl of light within each of us. That’s our connection to spirit, at least our connection to our “Own” Internal wisdom. What we know to be right! What we know to be true. As we move through life, we tend to pick up “Stuff”. You can imagine this stuff being like stones, rocks, (Na pohaku) emotional trauma/blocks just piled up on your bowl of light. What are these stones, these rocks, pohaku’s, emotional blocks? They are actually your memories, memories with negative emotions around them.

When you think about who you are? You are an accumulation of your experiences or your memories. And you use your memories/experiences to create your strategies, behaviors, how you do something. Positive memories/experiences you create positive strategies, positive behaviors, positive “How you do something”. When you have memories with negative emotions around them, you tend to create the strategy based on the emotion. Often times it’s not serving you. Especially if the emotion’s around the memories are Anger, Sadness, Fear, Hurt or Guilt. Or Fear of Failure, Fear of Rejection, and/or Abandonment. Including feelings of being Undeserving and/or Unworthy.

We go as far as to say that “If you have negative emotions around a memory you cannot get the learnings, the true essence of the learnings. Because every time you try to access the memory you have to go through the negative emotions and going to the negative emotions at least distorts the memory and the learnings within them. That is the true essence of the learnings within your memories.
So how do you get to the learnings the true essence of the learnings? It’s quite simple. Just release the negative emotions around the memories then the memories can make sense, can become a part of you, and become a part of your bowl of light.

This paragraph might be a little too early. Continue reading and we will explain. We are now talking about negative emotions. (Like, anger, sadness, fear, hurt or guilt) Are negative emotions good or bad? Take a moment.

We believe All Emotions serve a positive intention. The negative emotions set your boundaries. It lets you know something’s not right. If you never got angry, people would take advantage of you. If you didn’t have any fear you’d be one of two things, either an enlightened one (like the Dalai Lama) or not in this world very long. How long could you last doing stupid things.

However, holding onto negative emotions physically weakens the body. We believe it actually physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually weakens the body. (Just to be clear…and in direct conflict with the highest purpose of the unconscious mind…more detail later)

Sometimes we meet people that don’t seem to have a bowl of light within them, so we think they are nasty or evil. It isn’t that they don’t have a bowl of light within; it’s just that they may have so many pohaku’s, rocks, stuff blocking the light that it appears that way. Remember, there is a bowl of light within each of us.

When you see people doing these inappropriate behaviors they clearly are not responding or acting from the bowl of light part of them but rather the stuff, the junk, the emotional blocks above their bowl of light.

How do you know you have some pohaku’s in your bowl of light? (You’re right! It’s actually above your bowl of light…Very good! You’re paying attention.) That’s easy. You can feel it. If you can think of an event in your life that you still feel some anger or guilt about, then you haven’t let it go. (Haven’t resolved it within yourself) If you have feelings of being undeserving or fear of failure, these negative emotions are still there too.

Sometimes we stuff it into a place where we put things that we don’t like to deal with. (A black box if you will) Of course we put it there so we can deal with life. So we can continue on with life. “I have to go to work. I have kids to take care of and bills to pay, the realities of life. Sometimes that event has so much trauma that we cannot deal with it right now. Suppressing that or those memories is the best thing you can do, for now. This is a protectionism system that works really well for the moment. However you have to remember that, that black box (or wherever you stuff it) is still within you. And those unresolved negative emotions will manifest in a physical form eventually. That cannot be good. And you know this to be true!

That’s why you have to get them out.

Release the trauma/negative emotions attached to those memories.

One of our Kupuna (Elder’s) Aunty Morrnah Simeona, which our work is based on, is attributed to have said this:

Aunty Morrnah goes on to say:

“We are the sum total of our experiences, which is to say that we are burdened by our past. When we experience stress or fear in our lives, if we would look carefully, we would find that the cause is actually a memory. It is the emotions which are tied to these memories which affect us now. The subconscious associates an action or person in the present with something that happened in the past. When this occurs, emotions are activated and stress is produced.”

If this is true and we believe it is, the solution sounds simple. Release the trauma/negative emotions around the memories.

A contradicting thought might be, “Everything’s good!” “I haven’t thought about that in years.” “Why bring up that stuff now.” “Don’t want to deal with that right now” or “I don’t want to think about.”

See if this resonates with you:

Your unconscious/subconscious mind is hard wired for certain things. Protection is the main one. Let’s call them “Prime Directives”. I’m sure we can come up with more but let’s cover just four of them.

  1. Preserve and protect the body:
    1. From real or imagined danger
    2. No difference between real or imagined
    3. This is how Phobia’s are created (imagined danger)
    4. Definitely real to the individual
    5. More detail in Phobia’s Section
  2. Suppress memories with unresolved negative emotions/trauma:
    1. Normally very traumatic memories
    2. Explained above. (You have to keep on living your life)
    3. What do you suppress it with? (Your energy)
    4. Then you wonder why you don’t have as much energy now then you did before. (I wonder?)
  3. Brings up Suppressed memories for resolution:
    1. That same part that suppressed those memories brings them up at another time for resolution. (for you to resolve them) Normally when you are feeling better, everything seems to have settled.
    2. What do we do? OBVIOUSLY, we should resolve them!
    3. What we normally do is “Stuff them back where they came from! The problem is we need more energy, more focus to not think about them, to stuff them back.
    4. The longer you allow these memories to be unresolved the less energy you’ll feel like you have.
    5. When you release the negative emotions from these memories they get redirected and repurposed.
    6. Virtually all your energy should be in the present directed towards your future.
  4. Holding on to Negative emotions is in direct conflict with No. 1:
    1. Just in case you forgot, the number one prime directive of the unconscious mind is to preserve and protect the body from real or imagined danger.
    2. Holding onto negative emotions physically (as well as mentally emotionally and spiritually) weakens the body which is in direct conflict the number one prime directive of the unconscious mind.
    3. See Emotions Section to validate the above.

Now, knowing all of this, the question should be something like “What’s stopping me from letting go of the negative emotions or trauma around my memories? So the memories and the essence of the memories can become a part of me, the bowl of light part of me”.

Let’s get back to the bowl of light for a moment. We talked about the bowl of light and that’s who an individual should truly be, the true essence of an individual. So what are all these other things, these memories with negative emotions, above your bowl of light? What are they?

They are actually true essence of you as well, that has not and cannot integrate into who you truly are. (That bowl of light) What prevents the memories and the true essence of the learnings within the memories from becoming a part of you, are the negative emotions surrounding or attached to these memories. When you release negative emotions attached to these memories or surrounding these memories you can get to the learnings and the learnings naturally become a part of you. That is, the true essence of the learnings, no matter how traumatic the memories may have been.

Now let’s talk about the negative emotions.
Are Negative emotions Good or Bad?
